About

About Me, Bettina Specht

Bettina Specht has followed an intensive path of many years of personal inner work, extensive training and further education in body psychotherapy, individual and group retreats, as well as a dedicated meditation practice.
In 1993, she opened her first practice in the Ruhr region of Germany as a Heilpraktikerin (non-medical practitioner), working with Biodynamic Body Psychotherapy and massage.
Since 2001, Bettina has been leading retreats in the Tunisian Sahara, traditionally around Easter each year. In 2017, she moved her home and practice to the Lüneburg Heath, where she founded Heilraum Lüneburg in 2021.
As a holder of the ECP (European Certificate of Psychotherapy), she has also worked internationally as a trainer for the European School of Biodynamic Psychology (ESBPE). Since 2023, she has been leading groups in Lithuania.
Twenty years of continuous participation in an ongoing group within the Diamond Approach / Ridhwan School have deepened her presence and inner practice.
A love of truth, creative expression, and a deep curiosity about the unique unfolding of each soul are at the heart of her work.

She is particularly devoted to the Heart Space Method, which she developed herself, as well as to her retreats in the desert and in Lithuania.

Together with Erhard Edzards, she is continuously developing couples therapy as a powerful and evolving approach, shaped uniquely by each couple.

She loves dancing, painting, and working in the garden.

Very Personal

My life did not have an easy beginning. And as I grew up, I went through difficult times as well. Back then, I managed to survive.

And I paid a price for it. Like the people around me, I believed that this was normal. Most, perhaps even all, people experience difficult situations and pain at some point in their lives.

Doch wie ist der Umgang damit? Wird es Dünger für die Entfaltung der Seele, auch wenn es sich erst einmal nicht förderlich anfühlte?

I was very fortunate to encounter kind and supportive people, therapists and companions on my path at an early age. Over many, many years, individual therapy, group therapy and supervision became a natural part of my life. This gave me the opportunity to embark on the inner journey I deeply longed for.

We need kind and supportive people around us.

During my studies in Education, I met my first dance therapist. From that moment on, her classes became the most important hours of my university experience. Dance soon became a passion of mine.

For me personally, Biodynamics was a true revelation. In 1991, when I first encountered Gerda Boyesen, the remarkable pioneer of body psychotherapy, I knew that I had found a crucial key to my path in life. With deep trust and unwavering intuition, she followed the libido energy, the flow of life within each individual and within the group, with a sense of joy and delight.

And I knew exactly: This was what I wanted to learn.

I now experience my life path as a great gift, I now experience my life path as a great gift, perhaps even a true privilege. I invested all the money I earned in trainings, further education and retreats. In other words, I invested it in the unfolding of my own being.

I am happy to put the experience I have gained at the service of others.
It would bring me great joy if people like you could benefit from it.

So that, through our contribution, life can become a little better, more fulfilling and more beautiful.
So that our relationships with one another can become more loving, and that together we can create a healthy community that remains in mindful connection with the Earth.

That would bring me great joy.
